Alain Berset is Head of Short-Term Trading at Groupe E SA, where he leads a team of 11 specialists managing electricity portfolios and developing advanced modelling and automation tools. He oversees trading activities from intraday to month ahead, as well as the optimization of production and consumption portfolios. He began his career at Axpo, building solid expertise in short-term trading and portfolio optimization before joining Groupe E in 2015. With a background in Electrical Engineering from the School of Engineering and Architecture of Fribourg, he combines strong technical expertise with a results-oriented approach and has driven the digitalization of trading processes through machine learning and in-house digital tools.
