From May 4 to 11, HEG-FR welcomed a delegation from Suffolk University. Under the supervision of their professors Jodi Detjen and Bari Bendell, 20 students took part in an immersive and dynamic program within the Swiss cultural and economic landscape.
The international students had the chance to take part in a multitude of enriching experiences during the course of their stay. The week was meticulously organized by the HEG-FR international office team to combine company visits, case studies, consultation sessions, and cultural visits.
During this immersion in the rich and dynamic culture of Switzerland, they were able to meet a number of influential figures from the Swiss business world, make valuable connections, and expand their professional network.
The Suffolk University delegation was met with a warm welcome when they arrived in Zürich. They got the weekend off to a gentle start, discovering the charms of the old town and trying some sweet treats during a visit to the Lindt chocolate museum. Then it was time for a change of pace... The week got off to a flying start with visits to Leonteq and On Running, where the students worked on a case study.
The group arrived in Fribourg late on Monday and met up at the Blue Factory. Tuesday was devoted to a day of work and collective brainstorming at Montblanc, and on Wednesday, they were set a complex HR challenge at Extramet.
The end of the week featured a sightseeing trip to the Gruyère region to discover cheese-making in Le Moléson, and a day of discussion and teamwork with HEG-FR Master's students.
In conclusion, it was a week full of enriching exchange and cultural and professional discoveries, which will undoubtedly strengthen the links between the School of Management Fribourg and the Sawyer Business School - Suffolk University.
