YES Pitch Competition 2026

23 Feb 2026

On 7 February 2026, HEG Fribourg hosted the fourth Pitch Competition of YES (Young Enterprise Switzerland) – and it was a success. 21 mini-enterprises, led by around one hundred students aged 16 to 20, took part at the event. Thanks to the collaboration between YES and Seed: Lab, the event filled the Beat Vonlanthen lecture hall at HEG-FR.

Every year, around 1,500 students from secondary schools across Switzerland set up their own mini-enterprise as part of the YES Company Programme. "Learning by doing" is the motto of this organisation, which gives young students the opportunity to discover the world of entrepreneurship while still in education.

For several years, YES in Fribourg and Seed: Lab have been supporting young entrepreneurs in the region of Romandie. The success speaks for itself: the Company Programme is growing steadily and attracting more and more students from the French-speaking part of Switzerland. HEG-FR is proud to support this development by hosting the Pitch Competition over the past four years.

The event is structured as a competition: each team has four minutes to present its project to a jury, which evaluates originality, creativity and persuasiveness. It is a valuable opportunity for students to take on the challenge of pitching, build convincing arguments and defend their entrepreneurial ideas with confidence.

Beyond the competition itself, the day is designed as an immersive entrepreneurial experience: learning through practice, receiving constructive feedback, and developing ideas in a supportive and inspiring environment.

The programme of which the Pitch Competition is part is now well established in Switzerland. Teams from Romandie compete with more than 250 teams from across the country. After the Pitch Competition, attention turns to Zurich and the next stage of the journey: the National Trade Fair, which brings together the best mini-enterprises from across Switzerland. Stay tuned – on the YES website or over a coffee at Seed: Lab.
